The boat construction starts from design.
A copy of the designer's hull shape is made on translucent foil in order to have real measurements and shape for hull''s plug preparation.
Plug is almost always built in wood sometimes with PUR foam. When the last varnish for the plug is finished, next step is mould construction (negative form of hull).
Finished mould covered by special tooling gelcoat allows to produce final products (yacht hulls, decks...).
